My name is Pocahontas. I was born in Los Angeles, raised in Trenton,New Jersey and also in Long Beach, California. I am Trinidadian/El Salvadorian mix. I am one of the realest female hip hop lyricist today. I've been labeled a revolutionist. It's also been said that I am the Harriet Tubman of the underground Hip Hop world! People say I remind them of a female Tupac because of my subject matter and also they say they feel the pain in my voice. I've been writing in my diary ever since I learned to write. At age 11, I began writing poetry in my diary to vent my emotions and painful experiences. At about age 13, my poetry transitioned to writing rap songs. I did tons of rap battles as a teenager, many times eating alive male opponents. I was raised by cut throats in the inner city urban communities. I constantly metamorphisized my flows and writing skills through the years. At the same time, I attended Langston University. There, I joined the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha and later graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I ghost wrote songs for various artist both male and female. Then I met Young Bo in 2001. I already had books and books of poetry and songs I had written over the years as well as several books and screenplays. He showed me the ropes on recording actual songs in the studio.
